HoriSun Hospice is seeking a Contract Massage Therapist

Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Lincoln, NE (and surrounding 45-mile radius service area)

About Us:
HoriSun Hospice is a respected and compassionate hospice care provider committed to supporting patients and their families with dignity and comfort during life’s final journey. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team as a 1099 independent contractor.

Position Summary:
As a Contract Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage services to hospice patients in their homes or care facilities. Your work will focus on enhancing comfort, promoting relaxation, and helping reduce pain and anxiety in alignment with each patient’s individual care plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide gentle, appropriate massage therapy services to patients in a variety of settings (home, senior living, nursing community, etc.)
  • Communicate with the hospice care team regarding patient comfort and response to services
  • Document services and patient interactions per agency standards
  • Respect the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each patient and family
  • Manage own schedule in coordination with agency and patient availability
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Nebraska
  • Experience in hospice, palliative, or geriatric care preferred
  • Professional liability insurance required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with professionalism and compassion

Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with competitive per-visit compensation. Schedule is flexible based on patient needs and therapist availability. Mileage reimbursement is provided at a rate of 70 cents per mile.
